BibleReading March16,2013 I just finished day 23 of Blended Bible reading plan at

There were a few passages in today’s reading which I liked. The first one was Isaiah ch6 vs 3-8:

They were calling out to each other, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies! The whole earth is filled with his glory!” Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations and the entire building was filled with smoke. Then I said, “It’s all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among a people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.” then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. He touch my lips with it and said, “See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed and your sins are forgiven.” Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am, send me.”

We don’t always live as though we are forgiven. We carry our crap around with us instead of letting it go. Also when God asks us to do something, I know in myself and I’m sure lots of others will agree we are not as quick as Isaiah was to respond. Lots of times I would rather God send someone else.

In Mark ch2 vs 17 Jesus says “Healthy people don’t need a doctor sick people do. I have to come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” One of the many things I love about Jesus is that He is for everyone! He is for those who have their lives together and for those of us who don’t! He accepts everyone and takes us as we are!

What are your favorite passages of the Bible? What parts of the Bible are you reading today?
