Bible In 90 Days Progress For January 19, 2013

I would not like to be a prophet like Isaiah. People don’t always take criticism well especially if you are telling them they are doing something wrong, no matter how truthful you are. There are lots of verses that point to Jesus in Isaiah though. Here are some of the ones that I notices:

Chapter 1 verse 18: “Come now lets’ settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.”

Chapter 7 vs 14: Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’)

Chapter 9 vs 6-7: For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David.
