Took a day off from exercise today. Well I walked to work and walked with a buddy of mine after work to Tim Hortons for a coffee but I didn’t run or go to the gym.
I had a piano lesson tonight and I’ve been realizing with a lot of focus on fitness recently I’ve been slacking on both my piano and guitar as well.
I did get in about 20mins of guitar in last night which was great but haven’t practiced very much since march break. My piano teacher was giving me some great tips on how to get better with my practicing. A couple of things that were suggested was to pick a couple of days out of the week and a time that would be good for practice. Then have a reward system sort of like I do my practice then have a coffee or watch some tv afterwards.
My church has its annual strawberry social & talent show coming up where a friend of mine and I are going to play a couple of Johnny Cash songs. He will be singing and I am on acoustic guitar. So I started practicing for that last night seeing that it is not far off.
Music and fitness are two things which I love and just need to keep working to have a healthy balance in life. Hope everyone is having a great week so far! Cheers!
